The Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) is easily one of the must-see pieces of infrastructure in the country right now, especially if you’re a motorcycle rider. Not because of just how IG- or vlog-worthy the beautiful bridge is, but because sub-400cc motorcycles are allowed to enter the tollway.
That’s something we’re not used to here in Luzon, that’s why we’d be lying if we said we didn’t want to try riding through the expressway ourselves. In the meantime, though, this will suffice: a ride-through video from a friend of ours, Summit Media Vertical Specialist (Auto) for Revenue Growth and Tropang Top Bikes’ own Lucas Reyes.
On Reyes’ YouTube channel Tormots, he shared footage of his recent trip to the Queen City of the South together with Yamaha Motor Philippines. Along with several other motovloggers, Reyes was able to ride across CCLEX astride a Yamaha Mio Gear. The video shows the CCLEX’s toll plazas and dedicated motorcycle lanes. Of course, we also get a look at the scenic view from the expressway.
In case you aren’t familiar with CCLEX, this is the newly opened 8.9km bridge that connects Cebu City to Mactan Island. It is open to motorcycles with displacements of 125cc to 399cc, and these smaller bikes will only have to pay P60 in toll fees. Bikes with engines 400cc and up will have to pay P90. For the full details on the bridge, you can check this article out instead. You can also check out the full clip below.
