Aside from apparel and scale models, there’s a whole world of automotive memorabilia and merchandise out there. In the ‘70s, there were Toyota and Mitsubishi cigarette holders, Nissan’s Nismo sold binoculars at some point, and Audi even made a foosball table back then.
There are a lot more out there, and that long list is about to get longer. Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to the Toyota Hiace tissue holder.

When you think about it, the Hiace is the perfect shape for a tissue holder. After all, the flatnose version of the van is, quite literally, a box on wheels. If you think it’s just a one-off item, this product is actually for sale and you can check it out by clicking on these blue words.
In case you’re wondering, it’s officially licensed by Toyota, so this Hiace gets badges and whatnot. This particular Hiace is quite a lot smaller than the real deal, measuring in at 285mm long, 135mm wide x 125mm tall. It's pretty light too at less than 400 grams as it's made of ABS plastic.

There are a couple more interesting things about this Toyota Hiace. Aside from holding tissues, it can also serve as a holder for a variety of things from pens, mobile phones, and, um, plants. The van also has rolling wheels so it can be a toy for your kids.
As it’s official merchandise, it’s not exactly cheap. Given that you can get tissue holders at your nearest 99 peso store, the ¥4,400 price tag might come at a shock. That’s roughly P1,700 at current conversion rates. Expensive for a tissue holder, yet, but it’s quite the conversation piece if you ask us and a must have for well-heeled Toyota fanatics.

Lastly, you can get it in either black or white. If it were up to us, we’d get a white one and stick UV Express decals on it. While we’re on that subject, we’ll be waiting for the day Nissan rolls out an NV350 Urvan tissue holder, too.
