Hi, fellow commuters! Come on, admit it: Your morning and evening UV rides are so frustrating—and such a waste of precious time—that you sometimes listen to music and pretend like you’re in a dramatic music video. Sure, the person next to you may be playing Mobile Legends or having a fight with his girlfriend through Messenger chat, but that doesn’t matter. As far as you’re concerned, you’re in a music video and Air Supply’s ‘All Out Of Love’ is playing on full blast through your earphones.
Guess what? There’s a popular Spotify playlist making its rounds on social media and it’s accurately called the ‘UV Express Playlist.’ Created by Spotify user Jan Carlo Dela Peña, the playlist contains more than two hundred super dramatic old songs such as ‘Go the Distance’ by Michael Bolton, ‘Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita’ by Roselle Nava, and ‘Leaving on a Jet Plane’ cover by Chantal Kreviazuk. They’re basically songs you already hear in UV shuttles, Grab cars, and taxis, but now they’ve been collected in one epic list.
Check it out here:
People have been sharing and commenting on a post by Facebook page FOOL Throttle, saying that they’ve been following this particular playlist for years. They’re also half-jokingly asking for specific playlists for different UV routes such as Pasig-Ayala, Cubao-Rosario, and UST-Fairview.
Do you have your own go-to driving or commuting playlist? Drop it in the comments.
