No matter how thrilling it might be to overtake those granny-shifting cars along EDSA, the fact remains that few of us will ever become full-blown race car drivers. But don't worry, though, because all is not lost for your track dreams. If you want to explore your driving limits while having fun, there's always the option of karting.
The Top Gear Philippines team recently took to the track at City Kart Racing to try it out for ourselves. Basically, we were asked to leave our office cubicles, get behind some go-karts, and slip and slide in the rain while competing against one another. It wasn't exactly a hard sell to get us on board.
So we raced, we got drenched, and we all had a really fun time. We didn't even mind the squelching shoes and the freezing car ride back to the office. As we quickly learned though, there are some key rules and tips that you need to follow in order to race safely. It's not fun if someone cheats or gets hurt.
