The idea of dealerships utilizing a releasing room to add a little pageantry to the turnover of a luxury vehicle is nothing new, but the Jaguar dealership in Singapore takes things up a notch. Inside of Wearnes Automotive on Leng Kee Road is an interesting surprise.
Behind a nondescript sliding door is a black velvet curtain. After walking through, your eyes will immediately be drawn to an F-Type Coupe. But then something isn't quite right. There's a strange atmosphere and an air of mystery in the room. The lighting is dim and there are lots of shadows. Nearby are three leather couches, a makeshift liquor bar, and--get this--assault rifles, grenades and machetes mounted on the wall. And then it hits you: You've stumbled upon a villain's lair.
Jaguar is currently running the "It's Good To Be Bad" marketing campaign. It rides on the cliché that almost all Hollywood baddies are played by Brits. And these movie villains--who are usually brilliant and never get their hands dirty--have discerning taste when it comes to their toys. You can watch the video below.
If you want to live out your movie-villain fantasies, check out the Jaguar showroom in Singapore. After all, isn't it more fun to be the bad guy?
