Don’t you just love it when the automotive and watch industries collide? For years, we’ve seen brands collaborate to create some of the most unique and beautiful timepieces we’ve ever seen.
Casio, for example, regularly works with carmakers for special-edition pieces. Now, it’s worked with Nissan’s motorsport division, Nismo, and come up with yet another one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
Behold, the Casio Edifice Nismo Heritage Edition. These two brands have been intertwined since the early 2000s, with Edifice supporting Nissan’s #23 Super GT race car since 2021. This timepiece was produced to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Nismo.

“Developed with full support from Nissan and Nismo, the timepiece was designed through close study of real racing machines and interviews with key team members,” Casio says.
The watch was inspired by Nismo’s original logo used from 1984 to 1997. The dial is accentuated by blue and red bits, with a oval Nismo logo standing out at the top. The strap is derived from classic Nismo racing suits; hence, the white base with red and blue stripes. There’s also a distinct striped loop with a red short strap and a blue long strap.
The band itself also harks back to Nissan’s legendary racing machines, with the chassis codes of winning cars from the first era of Nismo printed across the strap.
Nismo’s success is also synonymous to Godzilla itself, and it’s only fitting that this Edifice timepiece pays homage to the R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R. The ‘Sapphire’ label on the dial that pertains to the watch crystal features the same color and font of the Calsonic Skyline’s windshield decals.
Each piece also has a Nismo logo engraved on the case back and comes with a special packaging with an original design. Smartphone connectivity is also available for this Casio Edifice.
Still no word yet on whether or not this will be made available in the Philippines. But seeing as Casio has brought plenty of its automotive collabs to our shores, it should be highly likely that this makes its way to our market. What do you guys think?
