How the stars influence your driving habits

Channeling your New-Age side
Jan 29, 2011

Did you notice how the world went gaga over the supposed change in Zodiac signs early this month? Apparently, people who believe in astrology weren't just bothered about finding their soulmates or knowing where their career is going based on the stars.

People behind Allstate Insurance in the United States actually took time to check the sign of motorists who are more likely to get into a car accident.

According to the revised calendar, the insurance company said Virgos--known to be reserved, critical and meticulous--were nearly 700 percent more likely to be in a car accident. On the opposite side of the list are the Scorpios, who are said to be the aware and determined, and apparently the best drivers--at least based on the study.

"Perhaps a Virgo's shy, perfectionist nature leads to overly cautious and timid driving habits," Allstate Insurance said. "By contrast, Scorpios were only involved in 1.5 percent of all accidents in 2010."

Do note that this "study" is already based on the so-called revised Zodiac signs. Can your sign really influence your driving habits?

"Generally, the signs with the fewest number of reported accidents were those associated with traits like 'compassion,' 'graciousness' and 'resourcefulness' whereas those with more accidents tended to be more 'uncompromising,' 'arrogant' and 'impatient,'" Allstate said.

What does your sign say about you? See if you agree with the details below.
