We can think of many good reasons why a person shouldn’t sleep inside a car. That said, we still understand that sometimes, it just can’t be helped.
It’s never ideal, but in some cases, our cars are really just our best (or only) options when a nice bed or even just decent shelter isn’t available. That’s why it wouldn’t hurt to prepare for such situations, no matter how unlikely it may seem.
Those same thoughts probably went through the heads of the guys from Mazda, because the carmaker has just released its new disaster-ready evacuation bag. It may seem unusual (because it is), but it comes complete with a lot of essentials.
The package includes socks, an insect-repellant net for front windows, a water supply bag, a blindfolded poncho, an emergency whistle, and what seem to be disposable toilet bags. There’s also a jumper cable available here, which is a nifty addition. All these are stored inside a 10-liter waterproof roll bag that sports the Mazda logo. Because branding, of course.
The whole kit costs ¥15,950 (around P7,300). It may seem a bit trivial to some or a luxury to others, but this is definitely something we should consider keeping inside our cars. Besides, these will surely come in handy in case of an emergency, anyway.
