If you’ve ever looked into helmet intercom/communicator systems, then you’re likely to have heard of Sena, known for its multifunction communicator units that fit almost any motorcycle helmet you can buy.
Sena also manufactures helmets with communicator systems built in. This time, though, the brand has also taken non-motorcycle riders into account. This is the Sena Rumba, a new multisport helmet certified for use by cyclists and skaters while providing all the functionality that Sena’s communicators are known for.

Sena has packed lots of features into the Rumba’s unassuming cycling-helmet silhouette, including smartphone connectivity, a two-way HD intercom compatible with all Sena Bluetooth systems, an intercom range of up to 400 meters, integrated microphone and speakers, and volume control. All these functions can be operated via a simple two-button control on the left side of the helmet.
For better comfort and safety, the Rumba also features air vents, a spin lock sizing adjuster, and compliance with multisport certifications CE EN 1078, CPSC 1203, and ASTM F1492-08.
