The cult following of the ever-popular Suzuki Hayabusa is an undeniable one. Over the years, aftermarket junkies have gone bananas with the sportbike, coming up with one insane build after the other.

The builds haven’t stopped coming, and there’s actually one that recently went viral: YouTuber Matt Spears’ off-road ’Busa. Yes, you read that right. Just when you thought you’ve seen it all...

As absurd as this thing sounds, it’s a pretty impressive build. They fitted the 2008 Hayabusa with knobbies, fitted crash guards up front, and straight-up brought it to Moab to try and conquer Hell’s Gate—one of the most difficult and gnarliest terrains in the world.

The climb proved a bit too much for the Hayabusa, because, well, it’s a damn Hayabusa. They basically wrecked the bike at the end of the video, which you can see below.

They didn’t stop there, though. The bike underwent some assumingly major repairs, but it was eventually back up and running. And this time, it was sitting on new paddle tires. For what, you might ask? Just to conquer some of the tallest sand dunes in the USA. Because why the heck not?
