Kawasaki, like most automotive manufacturers, is going carbon neutral. It is shooting for an all-electric lineup by 2035, and has started working towards that by electrifying the Ninja and the Z—two of its most popular models.
But the brand isn’t stopping there. During its recent Group Vision 2030 progress report meeting, it unveiled its first hydrogen-powered two-wheeler: the Kawasaki Ninja H2 HySE.

Unfortunately, the entire presentation was in Japanese, and we couldn’t find English translations whatsoever so the information we have is limited. That said, we do get to see a proper built-up version of the concept bike, so we at least have an idea of what we’re getting.
As its based on Kawasaki’s popular sport bike, the new hydrogen-powered concept also features a very sportbike-like appearance. Aggressive-looking fairings are found up front, with rear-set pegs at the rear. The concept also gives off tourer vibes, with a very bulky rear end that almost look like panniers.
Again, quite possibly due to language barriers, we don’t have the specs or other details of the Ninja H2 HySE just yet. You’ve got to admit, though, that specs or no specs, this is one of the bikes we ought to look out for in the coming years. Let’s also keep our fingers crossed that this comes earlier than 2030.
