We knew it was only a matter of time before builders had their turn reimagining the PG-1, Yamaha’s newest quirky two-wheeler. Little did we realize, though, that the custom bikes would come this soon.
Ladies and gents, you’re looking at the Yamaha PG-1 Scrambler, a customized bike built by Thailand-based company K-Speed Custom. In case you didn’t know, the Thailand motorcycle scene is filled with insane builds—we actually see a lot of ‘Thai builds’ here in the Philippines—and these guys are the masterminds of some of the sickest custom bikes in The Land of Smiles.

The PG-1 Scrambler really does look the part of a scrambler, as K-Speed has fitted the bike with chunky new tires. The knobbies wouldn’t fit the stock frame, though, so K-Speed also placed a smaller and higher front fender and completely deleted the rear one. Of course, to give it a sleeker look, the entire body was also finished in black.
They probably didn’t change anything with the 114cc single-cylinder engine, but that’s perfectly fine. As it is, this actually looks more capable to take on the trail than the original PG-1 was.
