Here’s some exciting news to brighten up the week: Motociclista Scatola (MSI) has confirmed the imminent arrival of Aprilia’s new entry-level sportbike, the RS 457. When? Soon. Very soon.
But before anything, let’s talk about the bike. The Aprilia RS 457 is one of the Italian motorcycle manufacturer’s newest offerings, and it taps into a segment of our market that the brand has yet to penetrate. While specific details have yet to be released, we know from the global launch that this bike will pack a 457cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that puts out 47.6hp at 9,400rpm and 43.5Nm at 6,700rpm.

The Aprilia RS457 gets a six-speed manual transmission with a slipper clutch as well as ride-by-wire technology. It can be spec’d with a bi-directional quickshifter, and it has a 320mm front disc brake with a four-piston caliper and a 220mm rear disc with a single-piston caliper as standard.
The RS 457 sits on 17-inch wheels as standard, has an 800mm-high seat, and weighs 175kg when wet. It also comes with a 13-liter fuel tank.
Now, for the prices. The Aprilia RS 457 will start at P348,000 and will be available in three colorways: Opalescent Light, Prismatic Dark, and Racing Stripes. The new sportbike will be launched on August 5, 2024 at 4:57pm at the Festival Supermall, Alabang.
