Just like the BMW R nineT, its R12 successor also got a more off-road-oriented scrambler variant: the R12 G/S. Now, this new German bike has entered the market.
BMW Motorrad Philippines has just launched the all-new BMW R12 G/S with a P1.775 million price tag. Only one variant will be available, and only 10 units will be sold on our shores.
That lone variant of the R12 G/S comes with an Option 719 Sand Rover Matt/Aragonite colorway. It’s the same look you see in the photos here, with the light brown finish with red and black accents. The Enduro Package Pro comes as standard, and that includes the 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels with knobby tires. The enlarged enduro footrest, 20mm handlebar riser, handguards, and belly pan all come with the said package.

Powering the R12 G/S is a 1,170cc air- and oil-cooled boxer engine delivering 109hp at 7,000rpm and 115Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. Shift Assistant Pro comes as standard, allowing for clutchless shifting.
Stopping power is provided by twin two-piston floating calipers with a 310mm disc up front and a single two-piston floating caliper with a 265mm disc at the rear. BMW Motorrad ABS Pro is also standard, so ABS will assist with braking even through corners.
