A year after the its Hypermotard 950 concept received a rousing welcome at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, Ducati has finally removed wraps off the model’s RVE version.

This Hypermotard 950 RVE is based on the entry-level Hypermotard 950, but it features the Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up and Down Evo that comes standard with the high-end SP variant. Its distinctive feature is a special graffiti-inspired livery, achieved using special paint materials and ultra-thin decals. Ducati says the livery appears very similar to artistic airbrushed bodywork.

In addition, it comes with Bosch cornering ABS with slide by brake function, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) Evo, and Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) Evo. These are fitted to the standard and SP versions.

Designed for a high level of fun, practical use, and optimum controlability, the Hypermotard 950 RVE is powered by a 937cc Testastretta 11-degree twin-cylinder engine that generates 114hp at 9,000rpm and 96Nm of torque, of which over 80% is already available at 3,000rpm.

With its impressive ergonomics, the Hypermotard provides the rider maximum responsiveness in all conditions, offering the best of sports riding on curvy roads and the track, and everyday riding on urban stretches. The twin exhausts mounted under the seat and the highly visible, lightweight trellis frame further enhance the bike’s aggressive, streetfighter stance. The seat is flat, its shape tapered to allow wide movement and easy balancing of the bike at a standstill.

Ducati says the Hypermotard 950 RVE will be available for the global market in July 2020.
