Exciting news from the world of motorcycles today: Ducati has unveiled the new Panigale V4 R. The Italian motorcycle manufacturer says this is the embodiment of the brand’s success in MotoGP and WorldSBK.

The Panigale V4 R is powered by the 998cc Desmosedici Stradale, and it boasts more oomph across the powerband than before. Output tops out at 218hp at 15,750rpm and 114.5Nm of torque at 12,000rpm. We’re talking about a bike that’s as light as 186.5kg when wet. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission with Ducati Quick Shift 2.0.

The powertrain is mated to a six-speed gearbox and gets a hydraulically controlled slipper dry clutch. It sits on an aluminum alloy frame with optimized stiffness, and it features a fully adjustable 43mm Ohlins NPX pressurized front forks and a fully adjustable Ohlins TTX36 rear suspension setup with adjustable rebound, compression, and preload.

The new Ducati Panigale V4 R is fitted with 17-inch forged aluminum alloy wheels with a five-spoke design and shod in Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP-V4 200/60 tires. Stopping power is handled by dual semi-floating discs up front with radially mounted  Brembo Monobloc Hypure four-piston calipers and a 245mm rear disc brake with a two-piston caliper. It also gets cornering ABS.

The 2026 Panigale V4 R “flaunts the very best of racing technology applied to a homologated sports bike,” and we wouldn’t want to argue. This is the first homologated bike for road use to get Corner Sidepods and the Ducati Racing Gearbox with Ducati Neutral Lock.

Despite this being a homologation special, the V4 R still looks much like a Panigale, in the sense that it’s still quite the gorgeous bike. The brand’s signature design has been retained, and that’s not a bad thing, as the Panigale still is one of the most beautiful bikes ever built.

Ducati has made plenty of mechanical and technological tweaks with the Panigale V4 R, and it’s become even more track-ready than ever. Now, if the brand’s motorsport ventures continue to thrive in the coming years, we can expect more bikes (super or otherwise)  like this to come out from Bologna, Italy. The only question that remains is this: Will this arrive in the Philippines? We’ll have to wait to find out.
