We have wonderful news for the motorcycling world—Honda has released a new ‘entry-level’ Super Four, just as the CB1300 is making its way out. Say hello to the new Honda CB500 Super Four, unveiled in China alongside the CBR500R Four.

Details are scarce as it’s difficult to scour China’s websites for information, but we at least the photos give us a good look at the new CB500. And, well, it looks good.

Like the Super Four models that came before it, the new CB500 boasts retro styling, with a round headlamp up front and a chiseled fuel tank in front of the saddle. In true naked in-line-four fashion, four exhaust pipes are exposed underneath the bike.

While we don’t have the output figures just yet, we can imagine this new bike sounds glorious, as it comes powered by a 502cc liquid-cooled, four-banger. Despite its retro looks and vintage roots, it’s equipped with plenty of modern-day tech. Throttle-by-wire, Honda’s new E-Clutch, and Honda Selectable Torque Control are all available.

Launched alongside the Super Four was its race-oriented sibling, the CBR500R Four. It gets the same engine but with sport-bike styling. Both models are fitted with a five-inch TFT LCD instrument cluster with Honda RoadSync connectivity.

No word on pricing yet, but at the very least, this won’t be one of those Japan-exclusive models. It was launched in China, after all, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed that it’ll actually make its way to our market. Make it happen, Honda!
