Over the past few years, Popcycle has brought in a number of affordable electrified two-wheelers. Now, it adds another to that growing list, this time under its local brand Sulong.
Meet the new Sulong Sky, a mini electric scooter designed for short trips around the city. It features quirky styling, reminiscent of the Honda Cub of old, with its body shape and colorway, as well as a small, rounded headlamp up front. It also gets round side mirrors and brown seats. The basket up front, the floorboard, and the foot pegs out back come in a matching light brown finish.

The Sulong Sky comes equipped with a 48V, 15Ah lithium-ion battery that powers the rear 350W hub motor. It can do speeds of up to 35kph and has a maximum range of about 50km. Charging can take up to five hours and can be done through a typical outlet. The Sky’s maximum load capacity is 150kg.

The Sky is now available at all Popcycle branches across the metro and stickers for P29,999. It can be purchased via installment through Home Credit or other bank partners. It can be had in either cream or green colorways.

“Mobility tools come in different forms,” said Popcycle co-founder Angelo Lascon. “We aim to make the world of light EVs practical without sacrificing reliability. The Sulong Sky is a reflection of our company's efforts to allow the Filipino commuter to have an everyday ride that is affordable, yet long-lasting and premium-looking.”
