The EDSA–SM Mall of Asia Busway Station will be testing out a new traffic scheme from Monday, September 22, 2025, until next Tuesday, September 30. After the dry run, full implementation is set to kick off on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

On the station’s northbound side, separate zones will now be designated for commuters boarding buses bound for Monumento and passengers disembarking from buses arriving from the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX). This setup should help keep the station more organized, speeding up ingress and egress times.

Buses headed toward SM MOA will be on the innermost lane on Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard before turning left onto EDSA. From there, they will take the outermost lane toward the station by the Globe Rotunda and eventually into the unloading zone. The loading zone going to Monumento is just a few meters ahead, and from there, buses will go around back to EDSA and stay on the second innermost lane.

A similar setup is already in effect on the southbound side of the station, where buses travel toward PITX. While the northbound buses take the innermost lane from EDSA, southbound buses will be on the outermost lane, where they can pull into the southbound side of the station. Two zones have already been segmented off for boarding and disembarking passengers.

From there, buses going to PITX will exit the Globe Rotunda through the outermost lane, where they will eventually turn right onto Macapagal Boulevard.

If the dry run and the implementation go smoothly, this station layout could be adopted by bigger terminals throughout the EDSA Busway, making for more seamless commutes throughout Metro Manila. And we could see those changes soon, as four existing busway stations are set to undergo renovations and three new ones will be built over the next year.
