Ducatis are known to be powerful, high-revving bikes. From the smaller Scramblers to the bigger and louder Multistradas and Panigales, you can expect each one to be a high-performance two-wheeler. That’s why when the brand brings out its “most extreme road-legal motorcycle ever,” you can expect that bike to be as extreme as the description makes it out to be.
What we’re talking about is the all-new Ducati Superleggera V4 Centenario, a model limited to 500 numbered pieces built in celebration of the brand’s 100th year. The ‘standard’ units wear a Rosso Centenario finish, the inspiration for Ducati’s 2026 MotoGP and SBK liveries. Ducati will also build 100 units of the even more exclusive Superleggera V4 Centenario Tricolore, whose design pays homage to the 750 F1 endurance racing bikes of the ’80s.

As good as it looks, the bike isn’t ‘extreme’ merely because of the design. Ducati says this is the first road-legal bike to ever use a carbon-ceramic brake system (Brembo) and front forks with carbon-fiber stanchions and sleeves (Ohlins). The result of all the carbon bits is a wet weight of 173kg with an empty fuel tank. Go even more extreme with the standard racing kit supplied and it’ll drop further to 167kg.

This lightweight superbike is then powered by a 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale R 1100 engine that puts out 228hp as standard. Screw in the Akrapovic racing exhaust and fill it up with Ducati Corse Performance engine oil and the output jumps to 247hp, resulting in a power-to-weight ratio of 1.48hp/kg.

We reckon Ducati has poured into this bike all the weight-reduction and aerodynamics magic its R&D division can dish out, all for reducing lap times on the track. So much so that it’s even equipped the bike with the Ducati Racing Gearbox, which puts neutral under first gear instead of between first and second. This avoids the accidental shifting to neutral and losing engine braking when originally intending to exit a corner in first gear.

The Superleggera V4 Centenario also gets a suite of features derived from the Panigale V4 R, recalibrated and enhanced with Ducati’s MotoGP-derived software called DVO. This includes tech like traction control, wheelie control, slide control, and launch control. The bike also now comes with Cornering ABS, Engine Brake Control DVO, and Dynamic Engine Brake functions.
Each purchase of the Ducati Superleggera V4 Centenario comes with a certificate of authenticity stored in a special box. There’s also a dedicated motorcycle cover with a mat and front and rear paddock stands, all of which are packaged in a customized wooden case that comes with each delivery. Would-be owners also have exclusive access to limited-edition gear including a helmet, leather jacket, and racing suit with GP26 Rosso Centenario livery colorways.
Ducati says 26 of the owners with pockets deep enough to buy this bike can also get the MotoGP Experience, which includes a one-day guided tour on track in July, right after World Ducati Week 2026. Not bad for an add-on to this purchase, no?
