The 2026 Manila International Auto Show is right around the corner, and BAIC Philippines is looking to make a splash with the all-new B40e Trailmaster rEV. As its name suggests, the B40e is an electrified SUV, advertised with serious off-road capability.
More specifically, BAIC’s newest offering comes with a range-extended hybrid system, which should deliver over 1,200km in driving range, with 152km on just electric power. The B40e’s body-on-frame chassis was then outfitted with a 4WD system and other creature comforts for outdoorsmen.
Once released, it will slide right in between the B30e and B60e, as a midsize alternative to the brand’s other hybrid off-roaders. It will also stand alongside its diesel-powered counterpart, the B40 Pro Trailmaster. In terms of price, the B40e will sticker for P2.888 million at launch.

That price also entails a feature-packed cabin with options of either black upholstery with gray and orange accents or green with gray finishes. However, no matter what buyers prefer, they will be getting dual 12.8-inch screens up front and a 12-speaker Infinity sound system spread throughout the interior. There are also two 220V outlets in the rear cargo area, while the overall range-extended system supports Vehicle-to-Load capabilities.
As for color options, buyers will be able to choose from Jet Black, Snowy White, Jungle Green, Mineral Yellow, and Future Gray. BAIC will also offer the B40e with respective warranty packages on the vehicle and the battery, along with roadside assistance for three years.
