Honda Philippines (HPI) has just reached its 10 millionth motorcycle unit production milestone. The official line-off ceremony was held at Honda’s manufacturing facility in Tanauan, Batangas, and was celebrated with production-line staff, associates, dealers, suppliers, stakeholders, and brand executives from Japan.
The milestone comes after the company reached its nine millionth unit production in 2025 and its eight millionth in 2024, signifying an average of one million units made per year in the last three years. The Japanese manufacturer started assembly in the Philippines back in 1973, and reached its first million production mark by 2005.

Since then, the brand has locally produced multiple nameplates that Filipinos have relied on for personal and business use. One example is the TMX 125, which has served as a staple for tricycle operators and as a canvas for custom builders who want a robust and cost-efficient foundation for scramblers and cafe racers.

Another is the Click 125, which is the workhorse of choice for many delivery riders, motorcycle taxi riders, and daily commuters. The Click 125 Smart Edition White marks unit number 10,000,000 in this milestone, with local production units also being exported to other markets like Cambodia and Laos.

More recently, Honda has introduced newer models to its local assembly line, such as the Navi, a quirky little scooter with Grom-like looks. Honda says it will continue to strengthen its manufacturing operations and pursue further growth in the Philippine motorcycle industry.
“This milestone of 10 million units was not achieved by Honda Philippines alone,” said HPI president Takeshi Kobayashi. “It was made possible by our customers who have trusted Honda, our dealers who deliver our products and services to customers every day, our suppliers and partners who support our business and production, and generations of associates who have put their pride and passion into every motorcycle we make.”

“Today, customer needs and expectations are changing rapidly,” shared Honda Motor executive managing officer Minoru Kato. “People are looking for greater value that fits their daily lives, including safety, convenience, and care for the environment.”
“I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Honda Philippines on 10 million motorcycles produced,” added Asian Honda Motor senior vice president of MC Business Koji Sugita. “Not only for your continued dedication to the Philippine market, but also for taking an important role in the network of mutual supply across the Asian region.”
With the 10-million-unit production mark achieved, Honda is looking ahead and says its next goal is 15 million. We’re looking forward to seeing what models will make up the next milestone, as the brand expresses its intention to continue developing and producing motorcycles that bring riders the joy of mobility.
