A few years ago, we talked about the possibility of Suzuki launching the Access 125 in our market. It made sense then, especially with the arrival of the likes of the Yamaha Mio Fazzio, and it makes even more sense now with the Honda Giorno+ already in our market.

Well, it looks like it’s happening, people. Suzuki Philippines has been teasing a new scooter on social media, and we’re pretty sure it’s the Access 125. We just won’t claim it’s 100% sure until Suzuki makes the official announcement.

Albeit blurred, the photo above is a screenshot of the scooter featured on one of the Japanese motorcycle brand’s latest videos on Facebook. That’s undoubtedly the Access 125, and it’s the newer version of what we wrote about in 2022.

Not a lot of details were shared just yet, but we do know that the Access will have a similar to albeit slightly different engine from the Burgman Street and Avenis. That’s the 124cc air-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injected gasoline engine that puts out 8.58hp at 6,750rpm and 10Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. It’s a powertrain that easily does over 50km/L.

No word on pricing yet, either. But Suzuki has been known to price its two-wheelers competitively, so we have good expectations for this new bike.

The launch is set for this weekend, October 4, 2025 at the ‘All Access’ event is happening at Market! Market! in Taguig City. If that isn’t confirmation that this is, in fact, the Access, then we don’t know what is. In any case, we’ll keep you posted, so check back here come Saturday for more details.
