Suzuki has made a name for itself with its GSX lineup, especially with models like the GSX-R, which eventually birthed the term Gixxer. Now, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer is refreshing this roster anew—say hello to the newest Suzukis in town, the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT.
These two neo-retro bikes are heavily inspired by Suzuki’s most iconic bikes but boast modern performance and tech. The 8T has a cleaner layout, with a round headlight and small engine covers on the sides. The 8TT, meanwhile, sports a stronger-looking colorway and has a cowl up front to complete its classic look.
No difference in measurements here—the twin Suzukis stand 2,115mm long, 775mm wide, and 1,105mm tall with a 1,465mm wheelbase. Ground clearance is listed at 145mm, and curb weight is a smidge above 200kg for both bikes. The 8T’s seat height is at 815mm, while the 8TT’s is 5mm lower. Both sit on 17-inch front and rear wheels.

Mechanically, they’re also identical. The pair uses Suzuki’s 776cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Both come standard with drive-mode selectors and multiple traction control system settings, as well as ride-by-wire technology.
Various color options are also available for both models. The 8TT comes in either the Glass Sparkle Black colorway shown above or Pearl Mat Shadow Green. The 8T can be had in Metallic Mat Steel Green, Candy Burnt Gold, and Metallic Mat Black.
We don’t know if Suzuki will ever bring these bikes to the Philippines, but the brand has been very aggressive with its launches as of late. One can hope.
