The excise tax on pickup trucks has officially kicked in, and we could be seeing increases of up to 50% on pickups across the industry. However, Ford Philippines has announced that several Ranger variants will be retaining their pre-excise price tags for July, or ‘Ford Truck Month.’
Hopeful pickup drivers can even score a discount or a flexible payment term on their Ranger of choice.

The Ranger XL, XLT, Sport, Sport Special Edition, and Wildtrak variants will not receive any price increases this July, and those eyeing the Sport 4x2 trim can avail of a P50,000 down payment, with a P24,888 monthly fee, and a free three-year scheduled service plan (SSP). Truckers who want to upgrade to the 4x4 can grab theirs for a P88,000, along with a free three-year SSP.

While the whole month is Ford Truck Fest, the American carmaker is also holding a special Freedom Fest promotion for just this weekend. From the fouth of July to Sunday, July 6, those who purchase a brand-new Ford Ranger, Everest, Territory, Explorer, or Mustang will receive a P10,000 discount.
