Triumph fans, you’re probably gonna like this one: the Daytona is back. It’s still in sport-bike form, and it’s more powerful than ever.
The all-new Triumph Daytona 660 makes its debut sporting a very, er, sporty design. The front clip is highlighted by the aggressive-looking headlamps that make for a familiar and very Triumph-esque light signature. The sizeable windscreen and sleek fairings also suggest a very high-performance package.

Indeed, “high-performance” would be the apt description. This thing packs a 660cc liquid-cooled, in-line-three engine that puts out 94hp at a whopping 11,250rpm and 69Nm of torque at 8,250rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission and redlines at an even higher 12,650rpm. We reckon with an aftermarket exhaust, this thing will scream just like its triple siblings.
The Daytona has an 810mm seat height, so it’s not exactly low. Triumph does claim that the bike has a narrow stand-over and the bar and footpeg position have been optimized. Still, with all that power in that engine, this won’t be a walk in the park to handle.
It’s lightweight, though, we’ll give it that. Triumph has managed to keep weight low with the five-spoked cast aluminum wheels, the twin four-piston radial calipers with lightweight 310mm discs, and an overall lightweight frame. Wet weight is listed at 201kg with 90% of that 14-liter fuel tank filled up.
