Wow, Triumph is on. A. Over the past 30 days or so as of this writing, the British brand has unveiled a new 450cc motocross bike, the updated Speed Twin 1200, the new Trident 660, and the updated Speed Twin 900. Now, it continues that flurry of launches with yet another one, and it’s pretty big: the all-new Tiger Sport 800.

If you’re familiar with the Triumph lineup then you’re familiar with the Tiger Sport. What we have in the Philippines at the moment—emphasis on “at the moment,” but more on that later—is the 660. This new model is an 800, and it’s bigger and arguably easily than before.

Everything looks familiar, from the windscreen to the fairings to the seats and the layout underneath. The bike’s shape and silhouette haven’t really changed much, but Triumph did make a few tweaks to the panels, particularly up front where it’s added an almost V-shaped pair of DRLs highlighting the bike’s face. Apart from that, it retains its overall sporty design.

Of course, the star of the show here is the brand-new 800cc liquid-cooled, three-cylinder engine that puts out 113hp at 10,750rpm and 84Nm of torque at 8,500rpm—90% of the latter is also supposedly available throughout the mid-range, promising excellent throttle response. This powertrain is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox that now also comes with Triumph Shift Assist (assist/slipper clutch).

In addition, the Tiger Sport 800 now gets cruise control for more relaxed rides. It also comes equipped with Optimized Cornering ABS and Traction Control, as well as three different rider modes in Sport, Road, and Rain.

The all-new Triumph Tiger Sport 800 comes equipped with Showa 41mm upside-down forks and a rear Showa monoshock with 150mm of wheel travel with a remote hydraulic preload adjuster. Its braking system is comprised of dual 310mm discs up front and a 255mm disc at the rear. It sits on Michelin Road 5 tires as standard.

Now, as mentioned earlier, what we have in the Philippines is just the Tiger Sport 660. However, as with the other new globally launched Triumphs, the Tiger Sport 800 is already confirmed for the Philippine market as indicated in the local website. Again, no word on pricing yet, of course, but this is surely something to be excited about.

So, any fellow fans of the Tiger Sport here? What do you guys think of this new one?
