For its 75th anniversary, Italian scooter brand Vespa has released commemorative editions of its Primavera and GTS models. These special versions, dubbed the 75th series, will each carry special decals on a ’40s-esque metallic-yellow Giallo 75th paint job.
Paired with the retro paint job are a chrome-plated luggage rack with a matching bag styled to look like a spare wheel, as well as a commemorative metal badge. The seat is special, too, wrapped in nubuck leather in smoke gray with piping. The gray wheels receive a diamond finish, and the scooters wear a host of chrome-plated details to really drive home the old-school aesthetic.
Under all this retro bling is a complete suite of modern features—all the 75th-edition scooters are the top-spec variants in their respective lineups. The Primavera of course gets a 125cc engine, while the GTS comes with a smartphone-compatible TFT dashboard and built-in navigation.
In addition, those lucky enough to get their hands on these models will receive an Italian jacquard-silk scarf to that goes well with retro riding gear, a vintage steel Vespa plate, and a set of eight commemorative postcards that each detail a decade of Vespa’s history.
No word yet on local availability, but we predict these scoots are going to be pretty hard to get a hold of if they do make it to our shores.
