Audi is set to debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show its very first diesel-powered S high-performance model in the 308hp SQ5 TDI exclusive concept. To make it even more desirable, the production of the top-of-the-line model of Audi's Q5 range will be limited to just 50 units.
The SQ5 TDI stands out from other Q5 models thanks to its Aral Blue crystal-effect exterior finish, which was specially developed for the exclusive, limited-production model. Like Audi's other S models, the SQ5 TDI's side mirrors sport an aluminum look. Xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights highlight the vehicle's front fascia, while four exhaust tailpipes dominate the rear of the limited-edition model.
The vehicle's interior sports a contrasting theme, with the black Fine Nappa leather-clad steering wheel and gear lever being accentuated with snow-white stitching. Even its black sports seats are covered in Fine Nappa leather and come with the contrasting snow-white stitching though the seats' center section makes use of black, woven leather, the first time it has been used on a production vehicle.
As for the SQ5 TDI's Alcantara headlining, the blind of the panoramic sunroof, and the door's inlays and applications, these are finished in snow white. Further emphasizing the car's uniqueness are the Audi exclusive badges on the door trims and entry sills.
Audi will begin delivering the SQ5 TDI exclusive concept to its customers in the first quarter of 2013.
