We know a lot of you guys have been waiting for this. With the local launch of the updated Ford Ranger a few months ago, it was only a matter of time before we got to see a facelifted version of its midsize SUV brother, the Everest, up close. We already did a story about this much-anticipated model last year—you can read about it here.
The big news is that it reportedly packs the mighty Ranger Raptor’s engine under the hood. In the updated Everest, the 2.0-liter EcoBlue turbodiesel engine puts out 180hp in single-turbo form and 213hp in twin-turbo configuration. The old six-speed automatic transmission has also been replaced with Ford’s new 10-speed gearbox.
No final word yet on which specific engines will be made available to us in the Philippines, but in the meantime, enjoy our photos of the facelifted Everest taken at the Bangkok International Motor Show.
Are you looking forward to seeing the Ford Everest on our local roads?
