It looks like the next iteration of the Hyundai i10 is going angry—at least, if the South Korean car manufacturer follows through on what it has revealed in the vehicle’s initial sketches.

Okay, okay. It’s kind of a stretch, considering how wild the design study looks with its extended fenders, massive wheels, and over-the-top lines and edges. So no, you probably shouldn’t get your hopes up too high if you’re digging this teaser, and we doubt many of the styling cues will carry on to the production model’s reveal at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Aggressive swept-back headlights flank a large, busy-looking grille featuring a pair of separate daytime running lights. Two massive triangular air curtains complete the sporty and intimidating appearance. Hyundai is also promising a unique ‘X-shaped’ C-pillar that’ll surely draw attention, though we don’t see much of it from what’s been shown so far.

No engine or performance details have been made known by the company, but it does say we can expect the all-new i10 to come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, wireless smartphone charging, and advanced safety tech like forward collision-avoidance assist, lane-keep assist, and driver attention warning.

Expect more to be revealed leading up to the vehicle’s global debut in Frankfurt next month. So, what do you think of what Hyundai has shown us so far?
