It's hard to imagine that the Lexus RX line has been around since 1998. Has it really been that long? And in the land of sunny California, the RX is the king of SUVs. Just cruise around LA. You will lose count of how many RXs you will encounter.
Anyway, the 2020 iteration of this best-selling SUV is now available in the Philippines. Big news is the availability of a longer variant with third-row seating, the RX 350L. The RX is not just big in the USA. According to the press release, Lexus has been dominating the SUV segment in the Philippines, consistently holding the highest market share since 2015. Lexus closed the first half of the year at the top, with a share of 28%. The RX is also the best-selling model in the brand’s line-up, “being not just the most popular SUV, but also the most successful vehicle based on historical sales. As of June 2019, the RX has 1,413 thousand units sold since it was first introduced locally in 2009.” That's quite impressive.
You get four variants and two engine choices. The RX 350, RX 350 F Sport, and RX 350L have a 3.5-liter direct-injection V6 under the hood. The RX 450H uses a 3.5-liter hybrid system.
