How big do you want your SUV? If you said full-sized or supersized, the only way to go is with Chevrolet. Of course, we’re referring to the Chevrolet Tahoe and the even bigger Chevrolet Suburban. For fans of these SUVs, there’s a bit of good news for you.
Chevrolet has unveiled the updated versions of these gigantic SUVs. Curiously, these have been labeled as 2025 models by the American automaker, but it’ll be available in North America sometime in 2024. Yeah, we don’t understand how the US market counts its model years, either.

Whatever changes present in the Tahoe are also seen in the Suburban. These SUVs will be offered in six trim levels, namely, LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country. The RST is the sport-oriented variant, while the Z71 gets special bumpers and a unique suspension arrangement for off-road use. Lastly, the High Country has a focus on luxury with exclusive features inside and out.
Starting with the front, both get integrated daytime running lights and are now included in the fascia’s trim. Opt for the Premier and High Country trims, and it includes welcome and walk-away lighting animations as well as dynamic turn signals. Two new colors have been added to both SUVs, Cypress Gray and Lakeshore Blue Metallic. Chevrolet would also like to point out new suspension settings for the Tahoe and Suburban aimed at making both SUVs ride, and more important, drive better than before.

Inside, there is a major overhaul of the center stack and the infotainment screen. Regardless of variant, the Tahoe and the Suburban receive a much larger 17.7-inch touchscreen that handles more infotainment functions. That screen is then tilted toward the driver for a more focused feel.
The new infotainment touchscreen is then complemented by a redesigned center console with new storage options and a repositioned wireless charging pad. Other interior updates include a new steering wheel design, piano black and Galvano chrome trims, and more soft-touch and wrapped materials on certain variants.
The range-topping High Country also gains wood trim (real wood, Chevrolet claims), wingtip perforated leather seating surfaces, a model-specific steering wheel, ‘High Country’ identification, and unique Jet Black/Mocha color combinations.

Moving on to engines, the 5.3-liter V8 is carried over from before. It’s good for 355hp and 518Nm of torque and features cylinder deactivation. Shifting is done via a 10-speed automatic transmission. However, it’s the 3.0-liter in-line-six turbodiesel that gets significant upgrades. It gets more power and torque, now rated at 305hp and 673Nm. The diesel is now compatible with a 10-speed automatic.
