Recently, Chevrolet unveiled the latest version of the Colorado. No, we’re not talking about the North American version. We’re referring to the one that was unveiled in Brazil. So, why are we bringing it up again?
That’s because its SUV counterpart, the Chevrolet Trailblazer, also receives a major overhaul for the 2025 model year. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the debut comes about a week after the new Colorado made its premiere.

Mind you, this isn’t an all-new model. Like the Latin American Colorado, the 2025 Trailblazer is more of a reskin. By that, most of the changes are up front. The SUV still rides on the same frame as the 2013 model and the previous-generation Isuzu Mu-X. This time around, it gets the same front end as its pickup counterpart, getting cues from North American models such as the US version of the Colorado and a few hints of the Tahoe.
As for the rest of the body, it’s carried over from the pre-facelift versions. As far as we can tell, the door skins are the same, as well as the quarter panels. The rear end is the same as before, although the tail lights feature different light clusters.

It’s on the inside where the major refresh makes its presence felt. There’s a massive 11-inch screen that sits proudly in the center, and the entire dash has been changed. It also receives a new instrument cluster, now fully digital. Also new for the 2025 model year is are the center console and steering wheel.
Like the Colorado, the company claims several chassis improvements for the new Chevrolet Trailblazer. A better ride is to be expected, along with enhanced refinement.

Moving to the engine, there are no official power and torque figures listed yet. However, given that it shares the same engine as the Colorado, it will likely by an uprated version of the 2.8-liter Duramax turbodiesel. It now makes 207hp and 510Nm of torque, up by 7hp and 10Nm. A new transmission is also to be expected, an eight-speed automatic.
