Previously, Geely showed initial photos its updated Emgrand for the 2025 model year. At the time, only a few details were given, but we did note several exterior changes that set it apart from the soon to be outgoing version.

Fast forward to today and the ‘new’ Geely Emgrand has been fully revealed. Not only are there more details shared, but we also get to see the updated interior for the first time. At least officially.

We’ve covered the changes on the outside previously, but we’ll do a quick recap. At the front, the ’25 Emgrand wears a new grille and the updated Geely badge. To go along with it are new L-shaped daytime running lights and a redesigned headlight cluster that features a new light signature.

Also new for 2025 are additional wheel options, although the ones we see in the local models still remain. The rest of the body is carried over unchanged.

It’s on the inside where the updated Geely Emgrand gets a significant boost. There are richer color options for seats and trim, along with a two-tier storage bin on the center stack and a bag hook on the passenger side for added convenience.

But the big deal here is its infotainment system. It now packs the automaker’s latest operating system dubbed Geely Galaxy. There are more features packed in the new system, along with a redesigned user interface and crisper graphics. The car also receives a fully digital instrument cluster with personalization options, replacing the analog dials.

In terms of safety, the new Emgrand is available with advanced driver assist systems. It includes the usual features bundled in that package, namely adaptive cruise control and autonomous emergency braking, to name a few. Six airbags are standard, and so is stability control. It also has something called ‘God’s Eye’ 540-degree cameras, as well as a Smart Security Assistant.

Powering the refreshed sedan is a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. While it’s still the same block, there’s more power this time around. Instead of 102hp and 142Nm, it now puts out 125hp and 152Nm of torque. It still shifts with a CVT, but Geely says that’s also new for this model.

In China, there are four variants available. The base model is dubbed the Dragon Edition and is the only one available with a five-speed manual. One above that is the Longten, followed by the Premium and topped by the Flagship. Prices range from RMB 69,900 to RMB 88,900. Converted to local currency, that’s around P562,000 to P715,000, sans local taxes.
