Find the average pickup too small and too mainstream? If your bank account allows it, you should go check out the new Ram 1500 Rebel that’s just landed in the country. It’s as big as pickups can get locally, and there’s no doubting its very American roots.
The introduction of the new 1500 Rebel in the country also brings with the updated version of the fifth-generation Ram 1500 pickup. This model was first introduced in 2018, but the 2025 version brings with it updates inside, outside, and even under the hood.

The Rebel is the mid-spec variant of the Ram 1500 range. It also serves as the off-road oriented model, meaning it has some neat goodies to go along with it. In the Rebel, all the chrome has been replaced by black garnishes from nose to tail, and the grille has a honeycomb pattern for added aggression. Its front bumpers are also reshaped to give it a better approach angle when going off road.

For the off-road bits, the Ram 1500 Rebel rides on 18-inch gloss black alloys shod in all-terrain tires. Further helping it off the beaten path is a unique suspension arrangement that’s build to handle more demanding terrain. Of course, there’s also a rear differential locker when things get more challenging, along with four skid plates for underbody protection.

It may be off-road oriented, but there are luxury trappings inside. There’s power seats with memory for the driver’s seat, for instance, as well as seat ventilation for the front occupants. There’s also leather trims to be seen inside, as well as a front passenger interactive display.
For tech, the 2025 model gets a larger 14.4-inch touchscreen with the latest software from Stellantis dubbed UConnect 5. The system also includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation, customizable user profiles, and something called Off-Road Pages.

Some might be surprised to no longer find a Hemi V8 under the hood. Yes, even Ram has followed the trend of downsized turbo engines. That massive V8 has been replaced by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six, but it still packs a wallop nonetheless. Dubbed the Hurricane engine, it punches out 420hp and 635Nm that sends power to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic.

How much, you ask? The lone variant of the Ram 1500 can be yours for P5,250,000.
