It’s the start of a new era for the Macan in the Philippines—official Porsche distributor in the Philippines PGA Cars has officially launched the second-generation model. And as we all know, it’s finally gone electric.
But before we get to the powertrain, let’s talk about the exterior. Design-wise, the all-new Macan still has that sporty silhouette of its predecessor. Up front, it boasts a similar light signature as its electric sibling, the Taycan. In the Macan, however, the DRLs are housed separately from the headlights which can be found underneath.
At the rear, the Macan 4 Electric gets, of course, the new ‘Macan 4’ badging. It also has that large lightbar on the tailgate just like what you get in other modern-day Porsches.

Inside the cabin, the new Porsche Macan 4 is fitted with premium black materials contrasted by beautiful Bordeaux Red leather stitched all around. There’s a classy sports chronograph highlighting the dash, and at the rear you get amenities like the power sunshades and individual climate controls.
There’s also a trio of screens inside the all-new Macan—one for the driver, one on the center of the dash, and one for the passenger. The main head unit has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and is paired with an oomphy Bose speaker setup.

Speaking of oomph, there’s plenty of that with the electric powertrain. The base Macan 4 gets two electric motors that power all four wheels and produce 408hp and 650Nm of torque. This configuration does 0-100kph in 5.2sec and has a maximum range of 613km.
The higher variant—the Macan Turbo—puts out 639hp and a whopping 1,130Nm of torque with its two electric motors that propel all four wheels. It’s faster from 0 to 100kph at just 3.3sec, while maximum range is estimated at 591km.
Standard in the Macan range is the electronic Porsche Traction Management (ePTM) system that operates “about five times faster than a conventional all-wheel-drive system” and can supposedly respond to wheel slip in just 10 milliseconds. There’s also the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system that can stiffen or soften the suspension or modify ride height, enabling drivers to further personalize their experience behind the wheel.
For now, these are the two variants that will be available in the Philippines, but PGA Cars has promised that the Macan Turbo and Macan 4 will be joined by the all-electric Macan, the rear-wheel-driven version of this electric SUV. This only puts out 360hp and 563Nm of torque but fares better in terms of range as it can drive up to 641km on a single charge.
“With the introduction of the new all-electric Porsche Macan, we have doubled our product lineup of fully electric vehicles,” said Porsche Philippines president and CEO Roberto Coyiuto III. “This charges up our range of offerings and gives discerning consumers a complete array of powertrain options to choose from—fully electric, hybrid, or combustion engine.”
