Those of you planning on buying a brand-new mini hatch are probably going to want to wait, because units of the all-new Honda Brio are already heading to the Philippines.

Honda recently released an image of dozens of 2019 Honda Brio units sitting in Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta, waiting to be shipped to our country. The vehicles were manufactured at Honda Prospect Motor’s (HPM) Karawang Factory in West Java, and a ceremonial handover was held at the factory back in March.

“The Honda Brio is a special model because it was developed to meet the specific needs of customers in Indonesia and Asia,” HPM president director Takehiro Watanabe said in a statement. “After it gained great acceptance from domestic market, we are confident that the all-new Honda Brio produced in Indonesia will also be successful in other countries in this region.”

The Philippine launch of the second-generation model will be held on April 23, 2019. Are you excited for this car’s local arrival?
