The XForce won’t be the only thing that will keep Mitsubishi Motors Philippines busy for the next couple of years. During a recent press conference, the company also showed a few models that will soon enter the local market.

Of course, they didn’t reveal any names, photos, or any of the sort. Instead, MMPC showed a product timeline of its future launches. We’re not just talking about models coming this year, we’re talking out some that that are expected to be introduced in 2025 and beyond.

One of the models shown was a ‘New-Gen Mid-SUV’. Given that the Mitsubishi Montero Sport is, indeed, a Mid-SUV, it appears that the Philippine market will have it here sometime in 2025. Big news, indeed.

That said, news of an all-new Mitsubishi Montero Sport isn’t much of a shock. After all, Mitsubishi Motors themselves showed its product timeline a few years ago hinting at that. The target launch year in that official report was also 2025.

With that, it seems possible that the local market will have the all-new truck-based SUV not long after its world premiere. Given that the Philippines is one of Mitsubishi Motors’ biggest markets, it’s more than likely that our country is on the priority list of getting this model.

Specs are unknown at the moment, of course. However, it has been said that the all-new SUV will be more like the Pajero and less like a Strada/Triton. That said, its chassis will likely be derived from the all-new Triton.

2025 still sounds far away, but there could be a chance that the ‘New-Gen Mid-SUV’ could be previewed any time during the year. Until then, we wait.
