A preview of the facelifted BMW 7-Series has been released on the German carmaker’s Instagram account, and to no one’s surprise, the full-size luxury sedan will retain the large kidney grille and split headlights, albeit slightly more leveled along the x-axis.

From a visual standpoint, the G70 generation 7-Series stands out among the rest of the sedans in BMW’s lineup. It veers away from the design language of its stablemates and opts for a front fascia similar to that of the iX and XM SUVs, which feature thinner split headlights and larger grilles.

The current 7-Series features 20-inch seven-spoke wheels finished in black and chrome, with silver highlights on the door handles and outlining the greenhouse. We will see what changes BMW is hiding in the shadows when they reveal the full facelift in April at the Beijing Auto Show.

The interior of the 7-Series already exudes premiumness, as expected from a luxury flagship sedan. The cockpit features a 14.9-inch widescreen display combining the instrument cluster and the media interface. There are also integrated touchscreens on the rear doors, multifunction seats, and a Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system. We’re curious about what interior elements BMW will update with the upcoming facelift.

With the Beijing Auto Show happening next month from April 23 to May 4, 2026, it’s only a matter of time before BMW reveals the full facelift of its 7-Series. Do you think there will be drastic changes, or will BMW opt to leave the flagship sedan’s formula mostly unchanged?
