BMW Philippines has been launching electric vehicles seemingly non-stop over the past few years, and now SMC Asia Car Distributors (SMCACDC) is back with two new models: the iX1 and iX2.

The iX1 made its debut way back in June 2022, while the iX2 was launched alongside the all-new X2 back in October 2023. We also got to take a closer look at the latter at the Bangkok International Motor Show back in March earlier this year.

But enough pleasantries—let’s start talking about these two new models.

First of the two is the iX1 (duh). This looks like a typical BMW crossover, with the signature kidney grille up front. Like the iX and iX3, the iX1 boasts subtle blue accents around its exterior.

Powering the iX1 is the fifth-generation 64.8kWh battery that puts out 204hp and 247Nm of torque that enables a top speed of 170kph. The iX1 has a maximum estimated range of 430-478km.

The all-new BMW iX1 is priced at P3.99 million. Each purchase comes with a five-year BMW factory warranty and a free wall box that will be installed in the customer’s home.

Next up is the iX2. This one is styled a bit more aggressively than the iX1, with sharper lines and a more chiseled body. The front fascia looks more muscular with more pronounced edges on the kidney grille.

At the heart of the iX2 is the same electric powertrain in the iX1 that pushes out 204hp and a slightly higher torque output of 250Nm. Maximum estimated range is 439-478km, while top speed is also 170kph.

The all-new BMW iX2 stickers for P4.29 million. Like the iX1, it’ll also come with a five-year BMW factory warranty and a free wall box.

If you want to learn more about these two, we’ll have more details and photos of each of one on our website, so stay tuned.
