An M badge on a BMW model usually results in paroxysms of lust and longing. Yes there are M models like the X5M and X6M that made us pause and wonder. But generally all BMWs with M in their name gets our blood pumping.
The BMW XM is another of those M models that made many people pause; with some even questioning its existence. But like many quirky BMWs, I like it. I’m drawn to the beautiful, blocky styling, and it’s quite symmetrical despite its size. And that twin-turbo V8 with an electric motor puts out 644hp and 800Nm of torque, making it one of the most powerful BMWs ever made. But what is power unless it is surpassed?

With that BMW Philippines has introduced the XM Label Red to our market. For those that feel like 644hp and 800Nm are not enough, the Label Red packs 753hp and an even 1,000Nm of torque. It still has the same 4.4-liter V8 and electric motor but tweaked for more performance.

As its name suggests, the XM Label Red has red trim all around. The tires are 22-inchers with double spoke 922 Bicolour Red rims. The kidney grille has a Toronto Red accent, and the paintwork is Frozen Carbon Black, a kind of dark matte finish.

Ultimate BMW power costs P18,890,000, a jump of about P3 million from the regular XM. But you’re not just getting more power with the BMW XM Label Red, you’re also getting exclusivity. BMW PH says it brought in only five units, but didn’t mention how many have been sold.
