Uh oh, the Germans have got their hands on one of Britain’s most important assets, and they’re claiming they’ve made it even more effective.
Yep, it’s our old friend Brabus, who has endowed the Bentley Continental GT Speed with a whole heap more firepower. The Bottrop-based Merc modifier has been branching out to other brands recently, and it’s now got hold of the big British grand tourer.
As part of what it describes as a “comprehensive refinement programme,” it has fiddled with the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 (and left the hybrid system well alone) to up the total outputs to 888hp and 1,098Nm of torque. Good golly.

The claim is that the newly named Brabus 900s will manage 0-100kph in just 2.9 seconds, whether you’ve gone for the coupe or the drop-top GTC. The latter—shown here in a dreadful ‘pale brown’ hue—is electronically limited to 276kph, though, while the coupe stretches all the way to 334kph.
Brabus is able to reach these figures with a couple of new turbochargers, a carbon airbox and an engine remap. It also fits a new stainless-steel exhaust system and drops the ride height by 20mm.
You certainly won’t mistake these for standard Conti GTs either, because there’s now a whole host of carbon fibre parts stuck on and a set of 22in monoblock wheels. Inside there’s a load of new leather with shell-like patterns available in almost any colour you can think of, and Brabus even fits a new dashboard clock. Is nothing sacred?
Anyway, prices apparently start at €489,200 (about P34 million) for the coupe, with the cabrio a cool €538,800 (about P37 million) before any further options. Oh, and that’s before local taxes, too.
