It's official: Bugatti has built the very last Veyron. And the unit has been officially sold to a customer from the Middle East. Named the "La Finale," the last Veyron is the 450th unit and is a Grand Sport Vitesse roadster.
Since the Veyron's launch in 2005, 300 coupes have been sold--the "standard" 1,001hp model and the 1,200hp Super Sport--followed by 150 roadsters--the Grand Sport and the more powerful Grand Sport Vitesse.
"In the Veyron, Bugatti has created an automobile icon and established itself as the world's most exclusive supercar brand," said Bugatti Automobiles president Wolfgang Durheimer. "So far, no other carmaker has managed to successfully market a product that stands for unique top-class technical performance and pure luxury in a comparable price/volume range. An unprecedented chapter in automobile history has reached its climax."
The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse La Finale will be on display at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show side by side with the Veyron with chassis number one, which left the French carmaker's factory in Molsheim, France, 10 years ago.
