2015 Ford Focus

The current third-generation Ford Focus first came out in global markets in 2010 as a 2011 model. Which means it has been around for four years. Needless to say, a styling refresh is a must before the next full model change arrives. And that refresh is what you're staring at here.

Presented at the 2014 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the face-lifted Focus now also sports the Aston Martin-esque horizontal grille. It will be on sale in the second half of this year, although we don't know yet what Ford Philippines' timetable is.

"We weren't satisfied with being number one," said Stephen Odell, president of Ford of Europe, Middle East and Africa. "We wanted to blow people away with a stunning new version of the Focus. The new Focus marries modern design, advanced technology and leading fuel efficiency with the fun-to-drive DNA for which Focus is rightly acclaimed."

The new Focus is now available in additional new exterior colours: Deep Impact Blue and Glace Blue. Ford describes the revised model as having "a lower, wider stance, with a new hood, front fascia and grille. The hood is sculpted with a dynamic shape from the front pillar to the corners of the upper part of the inverted trapezoid grille to deliver a strong, proud look."

Among the distinct exterior elements are the "slimmer, more chiseled front headlamps and more rectangular, elongated fog lamps."
