After rumors, spy shots, and leaks, the facelifted Tesla Model Y has been officially launched, and orders are now open in the Philippines with prices starting at P2,369,000 for the RWD version.
Deliveries are scheduled to arrive in April of this year. Meanwhile, the first batch of Tesla orders placed during its launch last November 2024 should be arriving this month.

The entire body of the Tesla Model Y has been redesigned for this facelift, with the key differences lying in the headlight and tailight design. As with a lot of new EV and cars, Tesla has gone with light bars around the front and back of the new Model Y. Although the Model Y’s light bars look thicker and more rectangular than what you find on a BYD Atto 3, for example.
The wheels and tires of the Model Y have also been redesigned to be more quiet and smoother when on the road. EVs in general are already silent, and so the Model Y’s new drive should make for an interesting ASMR test. The cabin has also been outfitted with improved acoustic glass to make the riding experience even more quiet. That acoustic glass should also make the sound system much clearer when listening to music or taking calls.

Cameras and other sensors located inside the cabin have also been improved to further refine the Model Y’s autonomous driving features. The base variant already comes with a basic autopilot system that can automatically steer and modify the cruise control settings to adapt to traffic. Other software features have been added for safety, weather forecasts, and entertainment.
Prices on the facelifted Model Y starts at P2,369,000 for the base RWD version. That will get you 466km of driving range with a 0-100kph time of 5.9sec. The long-range AWD version is also available for P2,689,000. That extra cost not only gets you dual motors, but also 551km of driving range and a quicker 0-100kph accelaration of 4.3sec.
According to the Tesla website, the new Model Y will be given a limited release here in the Philippines.
