China’s auto industry is a rather complex one. There are several main brands, and under their respective wings are, well even more marques. Geely is no exception to that.

Geely’s sub brands include Geometry, Lynk & Co, Radar, Zeekr, and Galaxy. This time around, we turn our attention to Galaxy. It’s one of Geely’s newest brands with a focus on luxury electric vehicles.

With Auto Beijing coming soon, the company has released a teaser of what it will reveal during the auto show. It doesn’t have a name yet, but it appears to be a large electric crossover. We can expect more details by April 25, the first day of the Beijing Auto Show.

Based on the sole teaser photo, we’re expecting a sharp-looking EV crossover, at least from the front end. The flanks are all about straight lines with only its shoulder line providing curves. Its lack of door handles and the door-mounted camera suggests this is a concept vehicle.

It’s possible that this model will be based on the Galaxy L7, the largest crossover in the current lineup of Geely’s luxury EV division. It could also use the same pure EV platform of the E8, a large, pure electric luxury sedan.

As for the name, there’s a good chance that it might be called the L9. 9 seems to be used often by Chinese automakers to denote a flagship model, while L is used for Galaxy’s crossover models. It’s all speculation for now, but we’ll find out more once the SUV has been fully revealed.
