Now, loads of automakers want in on the niche market. And while Toyota popularized it in the Philippines, it’s the Chinese that have been rolling them out left, right, and center.
There might be yet another business class van that’s on the way here. Unsurprisingly, it hails from China. That van is the all-electric Geely L380.

The Geely L380 made its premiere back in February 2025, and the company has gone as far as calling it a ‘Land Airbus.’ After all, the 380 part of its name is a nod to the Airbus A380. But if it’s called a Land Airbus, wouldn’t that just make it a bus?
That aside, the reason we bring up the L380 is because the luxury van has just received approval from the LTO to be sold in the country. It’s a strong suggestion that it could be offered here sooner or later. Whether it’s through grey market or official channels remains to be seen.
Some specs were shown in the LTO’s files. There’s the dimensions, as well as bit of its powertrain. Based on the range listed at 702km, it’s possible that the version we might get could come with a 116kWh battery pack. The power output of 200kw translates to about 286hp.
With the paperwork filed, we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for any updates down the line. Geely Philippines has been relatively quiet lately following its relaunch earlier this year. Perhaps the possible arrival of the L380 might stir up the market soon.
