Fresh off the launch of the EX5 and Okavango Elite, Geely Philippines is keen to build up momentum in the coming months. Of course, let’s not forget that the brand underwent a significant transformation, shifting from a distributorship to now being under direct control from China.

With that, the Chinese automaker is set to launch three new models soon. There is specific timeline just yet, but we can expect these to roll out in a couple of months.

So, what will these models be? Geely Philippines isn’t showing all its cards just yet. However, we can say that it will launch a C-SUV, B-SUV, and surprisingly, an A-sedan. We’ll decipher that in simpler terms: A compact crossover, a subcompact crossover, and a subcompact sedan.

There are a few more details, too. There’s a chance either the compact or subcompact crossover will be a plug-in hybrid. Meanwhile, we’re almost certain that the small sedan will be a regular gas-fed vehicle.

Geely Starray

Any candidates? From the top of our minds, the C-SUV could be the Starray which is called the Boyue L and is about the size of a CR-V and RAV4. Another one could be the Monjaro, although that is pitched as a more expensive model over the Starray. As for the B-SUV, we’re hedging our bets on the Cityray, essentially a shortened version of the Starray.

As for the sedan, that’s a bit of a mystery. So far, the smallest sedan the company makes is the Emgrand and it’s still a pretty sizable four-door. Sure, there’s the Emgrand L, but it’s not exactly subcompact at over 4.7 meters long.
