It might not seem like it from a local perspective, but the GWM Haval H6 is apparently a hit in other parts of the world. In its home market, it’s one of the marque’s top-selling models, and it’s gained traction in Latin American and Oceania markets.

The H6 is actually in its third generation. The current model was introduced in China in mid-2020 with the Philippines getting in 2023. What we have here is already the facelifted model that premiered in 2022.

It was previously reported that the Haval H6 was to receive an all-new model soon. However, that might not be the case as GWM has shown first photos of the crossover’s second facelift.

Major work has been done on its front end. The most obvious change is the grille that now has a totally different pattern from the one currently sitting in showrooms. Its headlight clusters are still same shape, however, it gains vertical daytime running lights just below it. Because of all the styling tweaks, the entire front bumper has been redesigned.

The sides still look the same as before. However, we did notice a new wheel design for this facelift, suggesting that other variants might get different rims, too. Moving to the rear, the tail lights get completely redesigned, ditching the center lightbar and replacing it with a pair of larger, individual clusters.

There are photos of the interior just yet, but tweaks to the digital instrument cluster are possible. The infotainment system might also get a few updates, along with a few styling retouches.

For powertrain options, it’s possible that it will be carried over from the current model. Some markets get a 1.5-liter turbo petrol, but most are available with a 1.5-liter turbo hybrid. The latter is the only choice in the Philippines. It has a total power output of 240hp and shifts with a dual-clutch transmission.
